Quiet island game · 2026

Tidal Island.

Shipping
A 51-second visit from daylight to moonlight. Instrumental music and gentle sea sounds, with no narration.

Why it exists

I wanted a place on my phone where a few quiet minutes would be enough. Somewhere familiar, with small things to notice on the next visit.

What I built

  • A procedural Unity island with changing daylight, tides, moving water, and wildlife
  • Seven letters hidden around the island, with optional hints and a journal for things already found
  • Optional breathing and quiet sitting, guided by the shoreline, a soft light, and phone haptics
  • Native iPhone builds with remembered preferences, reduced-motion support, and readable letters

Where it stands

Tidal Island is playable on iPhone and is in pre-release testing. It has not been submitted to the App Store. This teaser shows the current game scenery with cinematic camera movement.

What I learned

Calm needs attention to small details. A sound that is too sharp, a menu that moves, or a tap that shifts the camera can change the whole visit.
